My Story

After college football I weighed 215 pounds with a 34 inch waist.

By Christmas I still weighed 215 but I could only fit into one pair of pants and it probably wasn’t pretty.

I did realize that this weight and condition was not what I wanted. I started losing weight however the college social life wasn’t compatible with losing weight.

I did workout and managed to lose 30 pounds. I needed to lose another 15 pounds to get to my non-football weight. That was a constant battle.

I would lose focus and start to gain. I would lose those pounds but it was a struggle to lose more.

Protecting my future without heart disease was important. Reducing my risk of cancer was also a priority therefore I had to keep trying to live a healthy lifestyle.

Then one factor changed that gave me much better self-control. The last 15+ pounds were lost and for the last 45 years I have kept the fat off. I still fit into the same size pants I did 45 years ago.

“You are neither cold or hot. I wish you were either one or the other.” Rev. 3:15

Whether in faith or in health lukewarm isn’t where you want to live.
